Day 100 - Right Living Is A Result Of Right Believing

Believe right and you will live right.  The opposite is also true:  Believe wrong and you will live wrong.

This ends our 100 day journey and we have had so much fun and learned so much along the way.  We have enjoyed sharing these incredibly important messages with you and we hope that you have enjoyed and learned as much as us.  So let's get into this final day.

So the question arises, "Don't you think our performance is important at all?"  Of course it is!  Our performance as husbands, wives, parents, students, employees, employers and children of God is a result of believe that we are righteous by faith.  True long lasting performance is a result of right believing.  Right believing always leads to right living.  It is easy to focus and preach right living and honestly our society is littered with how to live right.  Things like; be more holy, fear God more, doing more, praying more, reading the Bible more, serving in church more, giving more, looking better, being better, ect., but honestly if you are focusing on the action then you are only dealing with the superficial elements.

Day 99 - Meditate On God's Word

The secret to good success is found in meditating on God's Word in the light of the new covenant of grace.

The scripture says that in order to have good success and be prosperous that you must keep the law and meditate on it day and night.  But the truth of the matter is that this was true in the old covenant, not the new covenant.  However, today people are continually living under the old covenant of the law and not under the new covenant of God's grace.  We should live and breathe the promises that are spoke in the new covenant, we should not keep focusing on trying to keep the law perfectly because that covenant is dead.

We need to read all scriptures through the eyeglasses or Jesus finished work on the cross.  Because of Jesus finished work do you know what qualifies us for good success?  Is it our works, keeping of the law or is it Jesus finished work?  The answer is obvious!

Day 98 - Rest in Jesus' Finished Work

To be seated in Christ is to rest, to trust in Him, and to receive everything our beautiful Savior has accomplished on our behalf.

I would like you to read the scripture below and then ask yourself, what does it mean to be seated together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus?  It simply means that today, we are in a position of rest in Jesus' finished work.  To be seated in Christ is to rest, to trust in Him, and to receive everything our beautiful Savior has accomplished on our behalf.  God wants us to take the position of relying on Jesus for good success in every area of our lives, instead of relying on our good works and human efforts to achieve success.

The devil is a master at deception and he knows that if we look to ourselves then he has us.  The devil will accuse you, point out your flaws and will keep reminding you of your past failures and use condemnation to continually use the tool of defeat in your life.  I speak to myself and all of you when I say, it is time for us to step out from being self-conscious and self-occupied, and begin to be Christ-occupied instead.

Day 97 - Feed On God's Love Daily

Live each day feeding on God's love, grace, perfect acceptance of and unmerited favor toward you.

Probably the most important thing to remind yourself daily is that you are His beloved child in whom He is well pleased.  You must believe and confess this and know this is true ALL the time.  So when you live your life this way you are continually reminding yourself that He loves you no matter what happens to you.  When you accept and know this, nothing can bring you down.  Even when the worst of things happen it can be turned to God because you know God is in your corner and loves you.  This is the most pure description of walking by faith that I know.

When you are confident that you are God's beloved, not only will you overcome the devil's temptations, you will dare to ask Him to bless you even in the little things.  Nothing is to big or too small for your Father!  If it matters to you, it matters to Him.  When you know that you are His beloved, you can walk in constant expectation of His unmerited favor in every situation!

Day 96 - Always Remember That You Are God's Beloved

For the devil's temptations to work, he cannot remind you that you are God's beloved.

Do you think that you are highly favored and beloved by God?  I can absolutely guarantee that you cannot make yourself beloved.  We are made accepted by the glory of the Lord's unmerited favor.  The word "accepted" found our scripture today is the the Greek word charitoo.  Now, the root word for charitoo is charis (which our daughter is named - Karis), which means "grace."  So charitoo simply means "highly graced" or "highly favored."  In other words, you are highly favored in the Beloved!

"the Beloved" referred to in our scripture today refers to Jesus.  If you read on, it says in the next verse that "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace."  Why did the Bible just not say we are highly favored in Jesus, why did the Holy Spirit choose to specifically say that we are highly favored in the beloved?

Day 95 - Personalize God's Favor In Your Life

It is your prerogative to see yourself as the disciple whom Jesus loves, and to call yourself that!

Today's devotion is one of my most favorite days and in my opinion one of the most powerful spiritual truths you will ever know.  I stumbled upon this after reading Joseph Prince teachings and then studying the Bible for myself.  This one simple revelation changed my life and how I looked at myself.

In the Bible John is referred to as the disciple whom Jesus loved, but do you want to know the real secret to this?  It is only mentioned in the gospel of John and not the gospel of Matthew, Mark or Luke.  You see John was making a self declaration, nothing more, nothing less.  Don't believe me?  Look it up for yourself and you will see it is only mentioned in the gospel of John.

Day 94 - How Esther Obtained Favor

When the Lord promotes you, He gives you the influence to be a blessing to the people around you!

Looking at Esther's life is pretty remarkable.  She was had no chance to succeed because she was not basing her success on the system of the world, rather she was basing her hope on what the Lord would provide for her.

As you read through the bible one thing is striking; the world today is not that different that the world in biblical times.  Yes I know we have technology and many things are different, but the attitudes, emotions and motives of the world are just what they used to be.  Remember the world is ruled by the prince of darkness and the prince of darkness is very predictable in his ways.  So if our world is ruled by him and he is predictable then it will not shock us that our world is very similar to the way it used to be.

Day 93 - Submission Releases God's Favor Into Your Life

Submission to God-appointed leadership will always cause God's favor to flow in your life.

In our world today it is promoted and accepted to be your own person, to believe in yourself and to rebel against authority.  When you are your own person, when you rely and depend on yourself and when you rebel against authority in essence you are saying that you do not need God and therefore make the grace and blessings that are available for you unavailable.

In saying all of that people can also abuse power by abusing people.  Many people will have the facade that they are God-appointed when in reality they are not, they use God as a blanket but in reality they are abusing and using people.  This does not need to expanded upon and we all know people like this.  However, there are many many people in this world that are God-appointed and have a heart that is after God and seeking God and a heart that is after the best of intentions toward people.

Day 92 - When God Can Use You

When you acknowledge your weaknesses and depend on Jesus, His unmerited favor can flow unhindered in your life.

It is Jesus, His wisdom in your life, His righteousness and His perfect redemptive work on the cross that makes you a success.  Nothing more, nothing less!  Without Jesus you have nothing to boast about, but with Jesus in your life, you can boast in Him and Him alone for every success and blessing that comes through His unmerited favor.

If you are strong, if you are wise and you are mighty then God's unmerited favor cannot flow through you.  Huh?  As we mentioned God uses the weak and humbles the strong so when you realize your weaknesses and foolishness, and depend on Jesus instead, that is when His unmerited favor can flow unhindered in your life.

The bible says that "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."  Beloved, God will not impose His unmerited favor on us.  Whenever we want to depend on ourselves and our wisdom, He will allow us to do so.  His unmerited favor is given to those who humbly acknowledge that they cannot succeed in their own strength and ability.  When we let go and depend on His unmerited favor, He will take over and do for us what we cannot do for ourselves!

Day 91 - God Chooses The Weak To Bring Down The Mighty

In God's hands of grace, the foolish and weak things become even wiser and mightier than the wise and mighty things of the world.

God is interested in your success.  If you are not the strongest, wisest, swiftest, most knowledgeable and most skillful in this world, God can still bless you with good success when you depend on His grace.  You can rise above mediocrity through his unearned and undeserved favor.  The system of the world only rewards the strong, while those who are weak are neglected and sometimes despised.  But, in Jesus, there is hope for the weak.

God's way is completely opposite from the world's way.  Scripture says that God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.  When you give your weaknesses to the Lord, supernatural things happen.  When you give your weaknesses to the Lord you stop being conscious of your weaknesses and the Lord instead supplies you with his strength.  There is countless people that have given their weaknesses to the Lord only for Him to make it a strength.
